I went through with another one of my crazy schemes and now I'm a full time college student working on finally finishing my degree before I'm 40.

some pictures. These are just from Detroit and Florida at the moment. I have to get a paid account to put up any more, which I don't feel like bothering with just at this moment.

I had the same problem with flickr when I first started. The trick is to resize your images before you put them up. Looking at my logs, I find that the average screen size of my visitors is about 1024 x 768 with a couple bigger ones and a few smaller ones. If you use your photo editor (if you don't have one you could try The Gimp - a free editor). I found that when I uploaded my full-size pictures I ate up all my space very quickly. When I resized them I could get literally dozens of them up with minimal impact on my quota. You could also tide us over by adding a few pictures directly to blogspot. Details on how to (very easily) do this are here
